The Snowflake Ball’s "Venetian Sunset Masquerade", an enchanting and glamorous extravaganza amidst a brilliant Venetian sunset, will celebrate the end of winter and the beginning of spring on Saturday, April 2, 2011, from 5:30 pm to 1:30 am, at the Hilton Lac-Leamy, in Gatineau, Quebec.

This highly-popular and glamorous Ball, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Colorectal Cancer, glows with elegance, prestige, and romance. In 2011, The Snowflake Ball is honoured to pay tribute to the exceptional work of Dr. David Mack, Chief, Gastroenterology, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and and Acting Chair, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa. This special award presentation is to recognize Dr. Mack and his wonderful and dedicated team at CHEO’s Department of Pediatrics for their outstanding success in establishing CHEO’s Inflammatory Bowel Disease Centre as a world-class facility and one of the international leaders in pediatric IBD research.

Please note that the dress code for this evening is black-tie (tuxedo for men and long gowns for women). Guests are encouraged to don masks to capture the magic and romance of the Carnevale di Venezia.
